Elle's Style Digest: September 2026

Welcome to the start of my style diary! I thought it would be useful to keep a proper record of my fashion journey as it evolves, starting with the current styles, clothes, and accessories I am obsessed with (complete with links, of course!).

First off, I have to point out a huge milestone: for the first time in my life, I am making a conscious effort to actually build a curated wardrobe consistently, rather than just buying random pieces once in a blue moon (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥). I KNOW! It sounds crazy, but until recently, I didn't have the budget to invest in my wardrobe. Now that I have the means, I also feel way more secure in what my personal style actually is.

SEPTEMBER 2026 FOCUS:

Yume Kawaii: This is the style I'm gravitating toward the most right now and actively collecting pieces for.

Sweet Scene: I'm going through a HUGE scene phase right now! Re-discovering some old scene songs lit a lightbulb in my head and sent me down a rabbit hole right back to my tweenhood. I am so ready to finally be the scene queen my 10-year-old self always wanted to be. Plus, I just discovered "sweet scene", scene fashion inspired by candy and sweets featuring tons of pastel colors!

On the Horizon: I've also had a longtime interest in Sweet Lolita and Himekaji that I'm hoping to become more involved with later on. 

Three indie shops that have caught my attention and I've personally purchased from are PiPiPi Symphony, Citrus Dollette, and Diccha. Both of these brands make and sell Japanese-inspired (Heisei-era & Fairy Kei) clothes, and the quality is SUPERB. Individual reviews of the items I got from there to some soon! A Princess Trapped in Her Castle

Rapunzel has always been one of my favorite Disney princesses because of how relatable I've found her story... sadly, that's especially true for me now. Living with multiple disabilities is incredibly hard; especially if you're like me and your disabilities prevent you from driving. Living in a small, rural kingdom with non-existent public transportation and minimal resources means opportunities to ever actually leave your castle are few and far between...

Recently, I ended up in a bad situation with my family that resulted in a meltdown due to all the stress. (◞‸◟,) A family member invited me and a friend to their in-law's place to swim in the pool over Labor Day weekend. I secured transportation plans with that family member and a second family member, but when I got to the pool, they both bailed on me!

The relative who drove my friend and me said they couldn't stay because of chores back home, and the other relative said they couldn't drive us back later because they brought their two dogs and had no room in the car! Eventually, the first relative said they couldn't stay or come back later. They tried to get me to rope another friend into giving me a ride, ultimately humiliating me in front of the friend who came with us. It left me with two terrible choices: fend for myself when they knew I couldn't, or leave immediately without getting to swim at all.

This situation only reinforced how truly trapped I feel sometimes, and how limiting it is to live with disabilities where you're forced to rely on others. I'm taking this week as an opportunity to rest, feel better, and look into driving resources for people living with disabilities.

Gushing and Girlblogging?! ♡

Hi, everyone! ♡ I'm both excited and nervous to be posting again as I actually had a blog here from late 2025 that didn't exaclty work out and only lasted a few months before I ultimately ended up deleting it because absolutely NO one was on Blogger anymore and I was blogging to an audience of ZERO, so I am absolutely thrilled to be finding out that there's been a resurgence of bloggers lately (especially as an ex avid Tumblr blogger! Does anyone remember the rosy blog trend?). Yay! Hobbies are always more fun with you have others to join in with you, so I'm looking forward to not only curating my own little corner of the internet but I'm also super looking forward to reading others blogs, and maybe even making a friend of two along the way? 

Okay, okay! So first I'll start with the basics! Hi. My name is Elle. I'm a 20-something year old girly living in the Southeastern United States, and this is my blog, Sugar Sugar Cloud! I'm not entirely sure exactly what I want my blog to become as I'm hoping this little hobby of mine will become one of comfort, fun, and creativity, so I'm not going to tie myself to rescritctions or expectations too much, but I do know that I'm hoping that my blog can be a one-in-all type of place where I can discuss anything under the sun from life with disabilities to hobbies to random life updates to reviews, or literally anything else I want to write about, so expect lots of random updates, rambles about my interests, and oh yes, lots and LOTS of pink!!

I think this is a fine place to stop for now. I gotta get to drafting up different ideas for my new blog post! Thanks for reading and TTYL! ♡
